ok I can't sleep
Friday, May 28, 2010 2:56 AM

Well yes I can't sleep. Maybe it's cause someone keeps running through my mind. Ok, that was corny. The real reason I guess is the HEAT. The heat is terrible! Well I don't know about you but in my camp, it gets cold when night falls and day hasn't break yet but I don't get it here back at home!
I don't know why! I mean I'm in Singapore obviously so technically speaking it should be the same all island wide right? If one part of the island experiences cold winds at night technically another part of the island should be able to experience the same right? But why isn't it happening!

I don't believe I'm going to say this, ok write this, but it's sort of actually better to sleep in camp than to sleep at home ... in this heat.

Ok since I can't sleep, I shall ramble a bit. I think Singapore is trying to jump on this music-sport relation bandwagon thing that Korea has. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the first time that Singapore has tried to use pop songs to try to cheer and hype up the nation for a sporting event? I mean they have been trying for NDP but that's not a sport.

I mean JJ's MV for the YOG, isn't that obvious? What do you think? Well I think Singapore has a long way to go. Compare the Singapore song to let's say one of Korea's recent World Cup campaign songs Victory Korea by Superjunior. It's worlds apart right? Maybe less of the corny hand movements and put in more iconic dance moves plus better lyrics would do the job.

I don't believe Singapore's musical talent is only up to that level whereby such feats are impossible and just watching the MV really makes me look down on the level Singapore is at. Well it maybe harsh but yeah I believe that there are people out there that has the ability to produce better songs that could actually motivate our nation for the YOG and to be proud of it.

Maybe Singapore has to get it's music industry going first eh?
