Memorable Week
Saturday, April 17, 2010 1:33 AM

I proclaim this week to be the most memorable week thus far. In my civilian life that is. Outings to the zoo cannot be compared to outfield crawling and friends cannot be compared to comrades in arms; they're different altogether.

Anyway I felt like it that is why I'm doing this. I felt that if I remember this week, I have something to look forward to in my civi life and that this would keep me going throughout my training. Well what happened this week isn't the only thing that will keep me going but it beats having only one thing to look forward to. There's always my family and God that will pull me through. For His ways are higher and He has plans to only prosper you and not to destroy you.

This week started out last week. Ironic ain't it. It was Shihui's birthday celebration and it was just the five of us. Me, Esther, Jeanette, Kenny and Shihui. Frankly, initially it was quite awkward as it was what, 2 years? Since we last met? For Shihui, I haven't seen her for like what, 3-4 years? The only time we 'saw' each other were through a box and our eyes met but we wouldn't know that it had.
I could feel it up in my veins; the coldness of the air, silence, speechlessness. To say the least, the ice was soon broken and we found ourselves in the playground later in the night. That was when this week started, plans of meeting up again were conjured up and dates were settled.

What actually happened was that amidst the photo taking and if I may, gossiping, my bloc leave together with Kenny's free schedule and Shihui's extensive break was brought up to the table and it was decided that we shall not waste any of it. In the end a zoo trip was planned however we had to leave out Jeanette and Esther although they did meet us for dinner. So that was how the zoo trip came about.
However Tuesday was such a bore, unfortunately. I did nothing but I managed to learn like 1/3 of the first movement of Moonlight.

Wednesday was threatening to be like Tuesday and low and behold, it was like Tuesday. However Thursday was saved thanks to Shihui and Rijia. I watched Shutter Island with Shihui early in the afternoon and boy was it empty. I never seen that much single movie goers in my entire life. Not to mention the non-existent queues. Dust balls were rolling around the ticket booths. The day however almost prematurely ended as Shihui had to rush down to the hospital but thank God for Rijia who kindly met up with me afterwards.
However sad to say I abandoned her halfway. Of cause not on purpose but due to some complications, I had to do so. I guess now you'll understand why I'm so apologetic. Anyway we talked more and crapped more. It was like a talk cock sing song session on the go.

Friday was something like a bore except for the part where I went out with the guys for dinner (well not exactly cause I didn't eat) and then later on we went to Ivan's for some Halo action.
Well this week has been filled with many memories and fun stuff that I will always want to do. However SISPEC beckons and it will eat up all my time. That's partially why I feel kinda sad that I'll have to lose my civi life. Army sucks. Period.
Man, honestly I am seriously going to miss my friends. I'll be willing to do anything to just meet up with my friends even if it is just to talk. Don't need to even spend a dime. Company is priceless. It can never be bought, well unless you're talking about social escorts. But the company that I'm referring to here, is more than what social escorts can give.
Whatever free time I have I would definitely spend it with my friends. Well priority goes to church ministry that is. So whatever free time left will be given to them. It's 3:31 AM and I should be sleeping but yet I'm reflecting back on this week and just hoping that this week will never end.
Why do I feel like I'm going away for like ever?
